Declaration of Human Rights The Universal Declaration of Human
Rights was adopted by the general assembly of the United Nations on December
10, 1948. Many government induced laws and regulations, additions,
negations and re-phrases have happened at different times, but the
basic principles of human rights was established in 1948. Article 19
declares that "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression;
this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to
seek, receive and impart ideas through any media, regardless of
frontiers.". The Convention is intended to protect human rights in
countries which are democratic by seeking to secure a fair balance between
the general interest of society and the protection of the individual’s
fundamental rights. |
